Services Overview
At Rooted Light Therapy, we specialize in trauma-informed, culturally affirming care for individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions.
Our work blends evidence-based approaches including CBT, strengths-based therapy, with trauma-informed and somatic practices and deep compassion. Together, we create space for healing that’s both practical and deeply personal.
Trauma Recovery Therapy
-
Heal the wounds of your past and rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself. Trauma changes how we see ourselves, others, and the world. In this space, we gently explore the impact of trauma. Whether from childhood, relationships, or systemic experiences and begin to release its hold. Through trauma-informed, somatic, and strengths-based approaches, we’ll work to restore calm, emotional regulation, and self-compassion.
Anxiety and Depression Therapy
-
Find relief from the racing thoughts, emotional fatigue, and inner heaviness that keep you stuck. Anxiety and depression can make even small moments feel overwhelming. Together, we’ll use CBT and DBT techniques to challenge negative thinking, regulate emotions, and build coping tools that support long-term balance. This is a space where you can feel seen and supported as you rediscover peace, purpose, and emotional stability.
Life Transitions Support
-
Navigate seasons of change with confidence, clarity, and grace. Change, even positive change, can stir anxiety, grief, or confusion. Whether you’re navigating a new role, loss, or identity shift, we’ll process what’s unfolding and strengthen your sense of direction.
You’ll learn tools to handle uncertainty, deepen self-trust, and create meaning in your next chapter.
What Working Together Looks Like
Each session is tailored to your pace and goals. We’ll begin with a consultation to explore your needs and create a plan that feels right for you.
Our work may include talk therapy, mindfulness, body-based grounding, and cognitive tools to support real, lasting change.

Your first session is a gentle introduction. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to heal, and what support looks like for you. There’s no pressure to share everything at once as we will move at your pace. You’ll also have space to ask questions and learn how CBT, strengths-based therapy, somatic practices, and trauma-informed care fit into our work together.
-
Therapy is personalized, so there’s no one-size timeline. Some clients come for a few months to work on specific goals, while others choose longer-term support for deeper healing. Together, we’ll discuss your needs, check in regularly on your progress, and adjust the frequency or length of therapy as you grow.
